Nuit Blanche: When the Department of Architectural Science Comes Together

It is not a surprise that as Nuit Blanche caps off the end of the summer and brings all the students back together again for a new school year, it has become an annual collaborative exercise (no, not quite THAT collaborative exercise which also gets the Department in the news) that marks the settling in for the new school year. Unlike other programs that fail to keep its student body together or do not actively try to contribute to their city, Ryerson University's Department of Architectural Science has a strong tradition of vertically integrating its student population on feasible and built projects. From first years to graduate students, teams of Architectural Science students have certainly made their mark in the city.

Night Market 2014 Cart Process Imagery Part 1

Thanks to Remi once again for the outstanding documentation of the 2014 Night Market Cart - he even managed to make the developmental stages of the project look great. In addition to the documentation of the cart assembly, this series also showcases the greatest strength that Ryerson University's Department of Architectural Science has - its students' ability to get projects done. Given that the project came together in less than 10 hours (at no fault of the team), this year's cart team represents the best of the department. Students from first and second year really were instrumental in ensuring that the cart could actually get produced and for that they deserve special recognition.
