Prepping the Colour Panels for the Snow Cone

Adding a little bit of colour and visual warmth to the design, the acrylic panels in the Snow Cone will ideally attract attention and contrast against the muted grey and white of the structure and surroundings. The team can be seen putting the finishing touches on the laser cut panels that also had to be numbered in order to ensure proper coordination of assembly.

[R]ed[U]x Lab Cart at Night

There were many great carts at the Stop Night Market and despite the fact that the event was held on one of the longest days of the year, the [R]ed[U]x Lab cart was designed to gently illuminate in the evening hours as the event went on until 11pm.  Here are some images of the cart illuminated during the latter part of the evening.

Lighting Trials

As the [R]ed[U]x Lab team puts the finishing touches on their Stop Night Market Cart design, they have been busy exploring the possibilities of lighting and powering the cart for the evening's festivities. Unfortunately power is something hard to come by in the Honest Ed's alleyway so the team has been experimenting with LED's, circuitry, and automotive batteries to keep the cart illuminated for the entire night.  Once again the staff and resources at the Department of Architectural Science assisted the team in sorting and sourcing out lighting support including multicoloured LED strip lighting.  Note the varying tones that can be set for the cart depending on the wiring configuration.
