Once the design phase was completed, each component of the installation were cut using the CNC machine. Subsequently, the pieces were prepped and the base and wall components were painted.

Working onsite for the Stantec Gallery Installation
Here are a few photos of Naveed's work onsite preparing the backdrop for the Stantec Gallery installation. This will be one of the few times [R]ed[U]x Lab will explicitly use colours - let's hope the design decision pays off!

The priming and prepping continues...
The Stantec Gallery team has been very busy and given the fine balance of deadlines (most notably in what has been rumoured to be a rough second year studio), it would seem that the students have been able to get things assembled in a fairly decent rate.
Here we have a few of the students priming the material including sorting out the contoured profiles and painting the internal structure to blend in with the laser cut cardboard.
