Traverse - Final Documentation

The students accomplished great success in bringing the installation "Traverse" to life. The very essence of the creation captures the sensation of embarking on a captivating journey through the city, allowing viewers to intimately experience its multifaceted charm and allure.

Traverse - On Site

With great care, the students transported parts of the installation to the site,
where they assembled them to create the window display. The team accomplished the completion of the window display installation that day.




Traverse - Assembly

 In anticipation of the on-site day, the fabrication team pre-assembled the essential components of the window display, ensuring seamless readiness for the day of installation.

Traverse - CNC + Laser Cutting

 Once the final design was decided on, the wooden base and wall structures were cut using the CNC machine. After the acrylic panels were etched using the laser cutting machine, holes were drilled so that
the pieces can be connected later on.




Inhale | Exhale - CNC + Painting

 Once the design phase was completed, each component of the installation were cut using the CNC machine. Subsequently, the pieces were prepped and the base and wall components were painted.

Traverse - Schematics

 Upon receiving the task of creating an installation for the window display at the Eaton Centre on Yonge Street, two teams of students embraced the opportunity to design something captivating. They worked together to produce design concepts, which was subsequently presented for the Downtown Yonge BIA. 

This team presented the idea of an installation that consists etched panels with imagery of architecture, landmarks, events, cultural icons, maps, and activities that are synonymous with Toronto.
