The deadline is quickly approaching for GrowOp and the Terrena team has been balancing the intensity of final studio deadlines as well as mounting this extracurricular initiative. Thankfully, the team has been able to continue its steady pacing and investigations into ensuring that the structure is in place and that the vegetation will be ready for the show.

Terrena Growth Experiments and Prototypes

Though the [R]ed[U]x Lab has been recovering from the excitement of the Lithoform and Flux projects in the month of February, the teams cannot forget their other roster of projects including the upcoming Terrena piece exhibited at the Gladstone Hotel's Grow Op 2016.

The Terrena Team has been busy experimenting with geo-, hydro-, and phototropism to find the optimal methods of growing the vegetation while ensuring the roots create the desired effect. At the same time, the team is wrestling with fabricating ways to effectively"float" the terrain off the floor for visitors to view this intricate proposal from all sides.

Photokeratitis Install Continues into the Evening

Assembling a project at the scale of Photokerititis is something that requires more than just a good idea and a couple of people. Here we see the team putting the pieces together in the early evening at Cornerstone in preparation for the opening of the Toronto Design Offsite 2015 event.
