Sixteen undergraduate students spent three days over the summer participating in the Camp Winston Design Build project supervised by associate professor Vincent Hui, where two teams of students across years collaborated alongside camp staff. Students were divided into multiple stations, constantly switching between measuring, cutting, painting, and framing. This ensured that the students had an equal opportunity to benefit from the knowledge and experiences acquired during this design-build.

Camp Winston Fabrication - Augmented Reality
Students inspected their design using augmented reality to ensure the dimensions and materiality of the structure were correct before cutting materials, leading to minimal waste. Augmented reality aided the students in understanding the proposed design, assembly, and detailing in its entirety before stepping onto a site and on-site.
