Kiki's BFF
"This year, I though the designers certainly work a lot harder coming up
with even more creative and beautiful booths using mostly reclaimed
materials. A few of my fave booths includes Woodlot, Brockton General,
Gusto 101 and Rose & Sons."
Once again, the [R]ed[U]x Lab team is pleased to see that people not only liked their booth but also appreciated the team's environmental parameters.

And still more PR
Ryerson Today did a quick spot on the Night Market carts from last week's event showcasing both the work from the [R]ed[U]x Lab in Architectural Science and the groups from the School of Interior Design.
At the same time, another article from (appropriately named) TorontoIsAwesome.com gave credit to the upcycled serving modules the team developed as it declared:
"BEST SERVING DISH – The boys from Cote De Boeuf really know their meat. So clearly this Mini Corned Beef Sandwich stacked high (and I mean HIGGGGH) really got everyone in the crowd motor running. Best of all: it was served on a LED wooden light plank! Neat."

More PR
It was nice to have a few more foodies take notice of the actual carts that served as the backdrop of the Night Market's exceptional food offerings. A few notables would include:
Bon Eats
"The designers have certainly upped their game this year, coming up with even more creative but functional booths using mostly reclaimed materials. Some of my favourite designs included the Woodlot/Côte de Boeuf booth, which looked very futuristic when it was all lit up later in the evening..."
The [R]ed[U]x Lab is quite glad to know that the team's upcycling efforts for this year's cart were appreciated by the general public. It's amazing what can be accomplished with offcuts and materials that would have otherwise gone to waste...
th3hungrycat
"Three of the booths were designed by students from Ryerson University and the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD)."
The best part was that it has become evident that guests were aware of the institutions that these teams came from - Ryerson University and OCADU...

Nice shout out from David Haman
It's always great to have clients appreciate one's work and over the years [R]ed[U]x Lab has thoroughly enjoyed working with David Haman and his Woodlot team. It was really great to have such a collegial relationship with him and listening to him pitch the work done by our Ryerson students was a nice touch (see the 5:04 mark).
The Return of the Cart
After 48 hours in the Honest Ed's parking lot, the [R]ed[U]x Lab team's cart came back to the Department of Architectural Science. Naveed and Frank ensured that it got back safely and in a seemingly suitable coincidence, another graduate [R]ed[U]x Lab team member, Jordan, came back to help bring the cart back into the ARC building.
Team photos from the second night
As with the first night, there were ample photos of the team posted up so in the interest of fairness, here are a few shots of the [R]ed[U]x Lab team on the second night of the Night Market.
Second Night Photos from the Second Annual Night Market
Here are some photos (courtesy of Mike) from the second night and it appears that the [R]ed[U]x Lab team had a great presence on par with the first. Paired with Cote de Boeuf, the team's serving modules really complemented the restaurant's corned beef on a baguette offerings.
The second night seemed to be just as packed and filled with great tastes and excitement as the first night. Unlike the first night however, the team was flanked on both sides by two other student designed carts - fortunately the [R[ed[U]x Lab design had illumination to spare and lit up the neighbours.
It was also great to also have past designers visit and support the current team.

Media Coverage
Once again the [R]ed[U]x Lab team made a splash at the Stop's Night Market - glad we could be part of such a great event and look forward to collaborations in the future! Here are some articles that have come out over the past 24 hours since the event ended this year.

Day Two Setup
On the second day of The Stop's Night Market the team was paired up with Cote de Boeuf (a retailer of Union). Not only did the team have to change the signage and menu atop the cart, but also restock all the serving modules for the evening. Fortunately the team was great at ensuring that the second night was on par with the first. Once again, thanks to Remi for the great photos!
Images from the Night Market 2013
Here are some great photos taken by Remi and Ailsa at the Night Market. As you can see, the [R]ed[U]x Lab team had fun and enjoyed the evening. Fortunately the pairing with David Haman's gregarious Woodlot team made the night special for the [R]ed[U]x Lab team members as well as the general public.
